Wall Street UMC has been proud to sponsor Troop 1 since 1911. Troop 1, led by Scoutmaster Steven Driver, is a nationally acclaimed program that has been recognized for its strong STEM program, providing members with hands on experiences such as launching high-altitude balloons into space.

Sunday school and summer camps are just a few ways children can get involved at Wall Street UMC! Our kids have been busy supporting the community with crafts, a helping hand, and compassionate missions. Please click the button below to learn more ways for kids to be a part of the action.
Adult ministries at Wall Street includes a wide variety of small groups from seasonal to ongoing studies as well as groups centered around your talents such as choir or handbells. Each group provides an opportunity for you to find a place to belong and grow in relationship with God.

Greeters: Open the doors and welcome those coming to worship.
Ushers: The usher assists visitors, distributes bulletins, collects offerings, and provides any other assistance during worship.
Eucharistic Ministers: Serve communion on the first Sunday of the month and selected Sundays during the year.
Liturgists: Read selected scripture passages during worship.
Acolytes: Children Kindergarten and older can assist in worship by carrying the light of Christ in and out of the sanctuary.
Meal Ministry: The Meal Ministry team is made up of people who are willing to cook and deliver meals to the home of those in need.
Receptionist Team: Volunteers provide office coverage to greet visitors and answer phones Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday during the week.
Congregational Care Team: Wall Street has a growing Congregational Care Team that works in partnership with our pastor to provide one-on-one care to those working through a tough time.
Special Events: Occasionally we have an event, and the need for volunteers will be announced. Look for these opportunities in the Sunday bulletin, the newsletter, or on our website.
Center For Lay Ministries: The Center for Lay Ministries serves the community by providing food assistance, emergency needs, workshops, and more. Throughout the year CLM needs volunteers as well as donations. Visit their website for opportunities or look for ways to get involved in the Sunday bulletin and newsletter.
Ronald McDonald House: Throughout the year we collect pull tabs from cans to help support the Ronald McDonald House. Please place pull tabs in a baggie before donating.
Socks & Undies: Our local elementary schools are in need of extra clothing for when children have accidents. Having clothing available allows the children to stay in school instead of having to go home. Look for wanted items and sizes in the newsletter.
Children's Sunday School: Our Children's Sunday School is taught by committed volunteers who make Bible study fun and engaging. Each class starts at 11:15 a.m. on Sundays.
Summer Camps: Summer camps are a fun way for kids to get involved and meet new friends. Look for summer camp information on our homepage.
Children's Choir: Wall Street is blessed with outstanding musicians who direct the Children's Choir. The choir rehearses weekly on Sunday mornings.
Men's Book Club: The Men's Book Club meets at 11:30 a.m. on the second Monday of each month at Adrienne's Café on Court Avenue, Jeffersonville. Look for which book the group is discussing in the newsletter or Facebook.
Adult Sunday School: This Sunday school class meets at 11:15 a.m. in room 19 every Sunday.
Off the Wall Readers: This Wall Street UMC book club meets on the fourth Tuesday every month (except December) at 2:00 p.m. The group reads a variety of genres all of which are borrowed from the State Library at no cost to the participants. Please contact us for the address where the group meets.
Tale Talk: This is a group of professional and non-professional storytellers or listeners that meet in the Youth Room on the third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. The group enjoys a pitch-in meal, and then various members share stories - usually a piece they are working on.
Choir: Use your musical talents to praise God and help create meaningful worship. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Handbell Choir: If you are not a singer, try your musical talents in the Handbell Choir. This choir rehearses from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings.
Needle Craft Group: Bring your own supplies for knitting, cross-stitch, and more! The group meets the first Tuesday of every month at 1:00 p.m. in room 17.
Haven House Bible Study: Haven House is a homeless shelter located in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The shelter serves 14 counties and houses men, women, and children. The bible study group meets at Haven House on Monday nights starting at 7:00 p.m.
